Poor Steve Martin. It looks like he's the latest in a long line of Hollywood celebrities to catch the shoplifting bug.
Like most of the other starlets, Martin was in complete denial that he'd done anything wrong, until David Letterman revealed that 'Late Show' had acquired some security footage.
Martin tried to keep Letterman from airing the video, but you can't bottle the truth for long. In stark black-and-white, Martin's shame was revealed for all to see.

We loved the visual of Martin coming out of the grocery story with a full ham stuffed into his pants. You could barely tell it was there.
And now he gets to sport the same kind of stylish anklet that Lindsay Lohan wore.
In other words, he's finally arrived.
