New Orleans police are searching for the person they believe shot five teens at a New Orleans bar just before midnight Saturday, killing one of them and leaving one in critical condition.
Cops say prior to the shooting, the victims were attending a teenage party at the bar when a gunman apparently opened fire and then fled the scene.
EMTs pronounced an 18-year-old man dead at the scene. The other victims – three females aged 14, 16 and 17, and a 15-year-old male – were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The victims’ identities have not been released, but according to News New Orleans station WWLTV the deceased man was arrested in 2008 for burglary and possession of stolen goods.
Authorities are working to determine the shooter’s identity and motive.
